Inner Mission condominium complexes have seen record-breaking sellouts this year, and competition is hot for new openings in previously under-developed sections of the neighborhood.
Developers at the most recent addition to the Mission, 299 Valencia, anticipated high demand from day one, but couldn’t have guessed that they would sell 34 of the 36 units in less than 6 weeks. Impressively, all sales occurred before the sales office even had time to open to the public. With more buyers looking to keep in touch with the local flavor of the Mission, expect to see more of the neighborhood converted into long-term housing.
As popularity for convenient, modern homes in the Inner Mission increases, expect competition to increase. The best bet for securing the best condominium is to get in on early on new construction projects when details are scarce and connected agents can get you access before everyone else.
